Learning Evaluation for Adjustments & Response to Needs

When we understand a child’s cognitive processes we gain powerful insight into how they think, learn, and regulate themselves. This understanding allows us to support them in ways that help them feel excited about learning, calm in their ability to focus and manage challenges, loved through being truly seen and understood, and strong as confident, capable thinkers. By aligning support with how a child’s mind works, we nurture not just academic growth, but emotional security, resilience, and lifelong self-belief - developing confident children who thrive.

Educational strength profiling can view children's learning through the dynamic lens of future potentiality, recognizing that foundational skills and interests emerge in childhood. By understanding cognitive patterns early, educators and parents can encourage specific strengths while supporting growth in areas of challenge. A profile can inform personalised learning goals that build confidence and curiosity, establishing the self-awareness and exploration mindset essential for making informed choices later in life. The L.E.A.R.N. profile (ages 6 to 12) is a brief snapshot of learning strengths and weaknesses from a parent perspective that can give hints about how your child learns and how teaching strategies can be adjusted to cater for individual learning strengths. The purpose of this online profile is not to label or diagnose, but rather to use the results to develop a general understanding of how your child’s characteristics can inform how their learning can be supported. It is conducted via parent questionnaire and the results can help provide you with general information about your child's personal strengths and weakness in areas of cognitive processing and give you a few strategies to help your child learn at home and school. You will receive a digital report via email.

Educational Screening & Assessment

IN-CLINIC | ONLINE

Educational screening assessments for children can provide valuable early insights into a child’s learning and developmental profile. These screenings are designed to identify individual strengths, preferred learning styles, and potential areas where a child may benefit from additional support. The information gathered can help determine whether further comprehensive assessment by medical or allied health professionals may be helpful.

Educational screening may examine a range of skills associated with learning and school participation, including early academic abilities, attention, behaviour, communication, and general developmental milestones. Understanding these areas can help educators and parents make informed decisions about supports, learning strategies, or referrals for more detailed evaluation when appropriate.

Early identification of learning differences or developmental concerns allows children to access timely supports and interventions. When needs are recognised early, targeted strategies can be implemented to help prevent difficulties from significantly impacting a child’s confidence, engagement with learning, or educational progress.

A school-readiness or early-years developmental screening provides an overview of a child’s current developmental functioning. The purpose is not to provide a medical diagnosis, but rather to identify patterns that may indicate the need for further assessment by relevant professionals (such as psychologists, paediatricians, speech pathologists, or occupational therapists). These screenings can also highlight strengths and areas of potential enrichment.

Educational screening may include areas such as:

School readiness

Academic achievement

Attention and behaviour

General developmental skills

Screening & Referral: Dyslexia, Giftedness, Neurodiversity

Screening results may indicate whether further comprehensive assessment could be considered in relation to areas such as attention regulation, social communication, learning differences, or advanced learning profiles. These may include referrals for evaluation related to attention, autism spectrum characteristics, dyslexia, or giftedness, where appropriate. These services are generally suitable for children aged 5–12 years, supporting their transition into school and their ongoing development throughout their school years.
